    Survey Generator FAQ

    Where are answers stored?

At the form action URL – your script or a form service.

How long should a survey be?

Under 10 questions keeps completion high.

    Is it accessible?

Yes: fieldsets, legends, labels and visible focus.

How many questions should a survey have?

As few as you need. Response and completion rates drop noticeably for long surveys; five to ten questions is a good target for customers.

    Surveys people complete

Every extra question lowers completion; ask only what you will use.

The line format – type | question | options – lets you draft a whole survey in a text editor and change it quickly. Supported types cover most needs: short and long text, email, single and multiple choice, dropdowns, rating scales and Net Promoter Score. A * marks a question as required.

Good surveys are short and ask one thing per question. Avoid double questions such as “How fast and friendly was our support?” – split them so the answers mean something. Put easy questions first, sensitive ones (income, age) near the end, and make only truly essential questions required.

The generated form is accessible: questions are proper labels or fieldsets, and choices work with the keyboard and screen readers. Answers are sent to your own form handler, and the JSON description of the questions helps you validate and analyse the results.
