Video Watermark Remover

Clean up a fixed logo, date stamp or channel bug in your own footage. Drag a box over the area in the frame preview, then choose how to treat it: fill it from the surrounding pixels with FFmpeg’s delogo filter, blur it, or pixelate it. The rest of the picture and the sound are kept, and the result is saved as MP4.

Video Watermark Remover FAQ

Is it legal to remove watermarks?

Only from videos you own or are allowed to edit. Removing watermarks from other people’s content to republish it can infringe copyright.

Will the logo disappear completely?

Delogo fills the area from its surroundings, which works well on plain or slowly changing backgrounds and leaves a soft patch on detailed ones. The original content behind a watermark cannot be recovered.

What if the logo moves?

This tool handles logos in a fixed position. Moving watermarks need frame-by-frame editing.

Does it work on transparent watermarks?

Yes, the area is treated the same way; semi-transparent logos usually disappear better.

Why does the first run take longer?

The media engine, FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly (about 32 MB), is downloaded once and then cached by your browser.

Is my video uploaded?

No. FFmpeg runs as WebAssembly in your browser, so the video stays on your device.

How watermark removal works

Logos, timestamps and channel bugs are usually placed in a fixed corner of the frame for the whole video. That makes them easy to treat: the same rectangle is processed in every frame.

The delogo filter replaces the pixels inside the rectangle with values interpolated from the pixels just outside it. On uniform areas such as sky, walls or dark backgrounds, the result is hard to notice. On detailed areas – faces, foliage, text – the fill appears as a soft smudge, because there is no way to know what the camera saw behind the logo.

When a clean fill is not possible, hiding the area is often the better choice. Blurring keeps colours and movement but removes legibility; pixelation is unmistakable and is commonly used to anonymise. The selected area is cropped, processed and overlaid in exactly the same place.

Use the tool responsibly: on your own recordings, on footage you have licensed, or to remove personal information such as dates. It is not a way to strip ownership marks from someone else’s work.

Processing runs locally in your browser.
