Prompt Variable Generator

Reuse one good prompt for many inputs. Write a template with {{variables}}; the tool finds them and shows a field for each, and fills in the prompt as you type. To create many prompts at once, open the CSV section and paste a table whose header row names the variables – every row becomes a filled prompt, exported as text separated by ---, as JSONL for batch APIs or as a CSV with a prompt column.

Prompt Variable Generator FAQ

What is JSONL?

One JSON object per line – the format many batch AI APIs accept.

How should the CSV look?

First row: variable names; each further row: one set of values. Quoted cells may contain commas.

What if a column is missing?

The tool warns and leaves that {{variable}} in the prompt.

Is my data uploaded?

No, everything happens in your browser.

Can I use the output with an API?

Yes. Batch output can be copied as text or used as input for scripts that send prompts to an API.

Which characters can variable names use?

Letters, numbers and underscores, written as {{name}}. Spaces inside the braces are ignored, so {{ first_name }} works too.

What happens if a CSV row misses a value?

The prompt for that row is marked, so you can fill the gap instead of sending a prompt with an empty placeholder.

Can I reuse the same variable several times?

Yes. Every occurrence of {{name}} is replaced with the same value, so you only fill it in once.

Templates scale prompts

Once a prompt works, the fastest way to use it at scale is a template: the instructions stay fixed while product names, audiences or facts change per row.

Keep values short and factual; the template carries the instructions.

Write a template once with {{variables}} and fill it for many inputs. The tool detects every variable, shows a field for each and updates the finished prompt as you type, which is handy for repetitive tasks such as personalised replies or product descriptions.

For batches, paste a table whose header row names the variables – one prompt is generated per row. Missing values are highlighted so no prompt goes out with an empty placeholder.

All filling happens in your browser; the tool does not call an AI. Paste the prompts into your assistant or use them in an automation tool.

Batch prompts are useful for repetitive work such as product descriptions for a catalogue, personalised outreach drafts or summaries of many documents. Test the template on a few rows first, check the answers, then generate the full batch.
